Tilta Pro Articulating Arm - Black

The Tilta Pro Articulating Arm is the strongest articulating arm in the Tilta range — it carries 5 kg and weighs 303 grams. Both ends carry a 1/4″-20 thread with locating pins, so a monitor, wireless transmitter or viewfinder cannot twist. A single screw locks every axis.

An articulating arm is the part that attaches everything to the rig that has to sit somewhere other than the camera: monitor, transmitter, viewfinder, light. This arm has two ball joints with 360° rotation and 90° tilt, so accessories can be placed in practically any position — and one screw in the middle locks them there.

1/4″-20 thread with locating pins

Both ends carry a 1/4″-20 thread with added locating pins. The pins stop the accessory from twisting, so a monitor stays put after tightening even while carrying the rig — the perennial problem with a bare 1/4″ screw.

Non-slip ball joint surface

The ball joints carry a fine spiral knurl all around. It increases friction as you tighten, so the joint does not slip even with a loaded monitor, yet it never binds — the arm adjusts smoothly and then locks hard.

360° and 90° range

Each joint rotates a full 360° and tilts 90°. Together that means the monitor can sit above the camera, beside it or below it, and turn towards the operator or towards the director without moving the arm to another point on the cage.

Five kilos at 303 grams

The arm is aluminum alloy with a steel core, measures 270 × 72 × 25 mm and weighs 303 grams. It carries up to 5 kg, so a larger director monitor with a battery is no problem — while still not loading the rig enough to upset the balance on a gimbal.

One screw locks everything

Both axes and the middle joint tighten with a single rosette screw. Changing position is one movement: loosen, move, tighten. On a fast shoot that is the difference between "I will move the monitor" and "I will move the monitor between two takes".
