Tilta Khronos Mini LED Panel (Daylight) - Space Gray

The Tilta Khronos Mini LED Panel in daylight and Space Gray is a fill-light panel mounted right on the Khronos case. The rotating head allows ±30° of tilt and 350° of rotation, brightness has three levels and colour rendering is CRI ≥ 95. Drawing only 5 W (9–12 V, 1 A), it is powered through the contacts of the Khronos case, so it needs neither its own battery nor a cable — it mounts to the case with the locking clamp like the other Khronos parts.

The Khronos Mini LED Panel (Daylight) is a light for the rig, not for a tripod: it sits on a mounting point of the case, is powered through it and switches on and dims with a single button. For an interview against the light, a detail on a table or a face walking through the city at night, that is exactly enough.

On the case with the locking clamp, power from the contacts

The panel mounts to any free mounting point of the Khronos case with the locking clamp: press the button, line up the pins, release. The pins also connect the panel to the case's electrical contacts, through which the Focus PD handle supplies the current — the light has neither its own battery nor a cable and, at 5 W (9–12 V, 1 A), barely loads the rig. It comes off just as quickly and carries over between Khronos cases of every generation with the same clamp.

±30° tilt, 350° rotation, three brightness levels

The panel head tilts ±30° and rotates 350°, so the light aims at the face in front of the lens, at the object in hand or from the side as fill. A long press of the button turns the panel on and off, a short press steps through three brightness levels — no more control is needed. The daylight colour temperature matches daylight and most indoor LED lighting, and CRI ≥ 95 colour rendering leaves skin and clothing colours as the eye sees them.

Khronos is a modular system for shooting with a phone: a case or cage with mounting points that take magnetic filters, cooling, handles, lights, a USB-C hub and brackets via quick release. The parts combine and carry over between phone generations — this one is among them.
