This kit pairs the Nikon Z5II full-frame mirrorless camera with the compact NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 zoom. The body, with its 24.5 MP sensor and EXPEED 7 processor, inherits features from Nikon's professional Z series: autofocus down to −10 EV, up to 7.5 stops of vibration reduction, a 3,000 cd/m² viewfinder and 4K video with N-RAW recording straight to SD cards.
This compact, powerful FX-format camera brings features from Nikon's professional Z series cameras and takes the popular Z5 to the next level. The EXPEED 7 processor, Nikon's most powerful image-processing engine, delivers impressive results even when shooting handheld, an extremely wide ISO range and smoother performance in everything you do.
Autofocus inherited from the flagship Z cameras is 68% faster than on the Z5 and works down to −10 EV, so it stays precise even after dark. Intelligent subject detection and advanced 3D-tracking keep the focus locked on moving scenes, anywhere in the frame.
The 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder reaches up to 3,000 cd/m² – three times brighter than the Z5 – and its brightness can adjust automatically or be set manually in 18 levels. Composing stays comfortable even in bright sunlight. The 8 cm (3.2″) vari-angle touch monitor with a 170° viewing angle adapts to the camera's orientation.
The Picture Control button lets you switch between colour profiles instantly and see the result in real time; custom settings can be created in Nikon NX Studio. Video creators can record 4K N-RAW straight to an SD card or use N-Log for maximum flexibility in post-production, including support for LUTs from RED.
Five-axis sensor-shift stabilisation delivers up to 7.5 stops at the centre of the frame and 6 stops at the edges. For stills it adapts to the active focus point (Focus Point VR), so the main subject stays sharp even near the edge of the frame. F-mount lenses attached via an adapter also benefit from in-body stabilisation.
Maximum sensitivity is ISO 64,000 for stills and ISO 51,200 for video. Advanced noise reduction delivers clean images in low light, with rich colours and fine detail.
The camera records 4K UHD up to 30p using the full sensor width or up to 60p with a crop, and Full HD up to 120p. Video can be saved as N-RAW (12-bit), H.265 (10-bit) and H.264, with N-Log and HDR (HLG) tone modes.
In high-speed frame capture+ mode the camera shoots at up to 30 fps, and Pre-Release Capture records frames before the shutter button is fully pressed, so you can catch even the fastest moments. AF-A mode switches automatically between AF-S for static and AF-C for moving subjects.
Camera-to-cloud connectivity via Nikon Imaging Cloud automates image storage and gives you access to colour presets (Imaging Recipes) from Nikon and other creators right in the camera.
A 3.5 mm external microphone jack and a headphone output allow precise audio control while filming.
Nikon stays true to its proven ergonomics – users of the original Z5 will appreciate the deeper grip and more intuitive control layout. The camera has two SD (UHS-II) card slots and accepts the MB-N14 power battery pack, which extends battery life and makes portrait-orientation shooting easier. The lightweight magnesium-alloy body (approx. 700 g with battery and card) resists dust and dripping water to the level of the Z6III. Its compact size and rugged build make it an ideal travel companion.
A very compact standard zoom for Nikon Z full-frame cameras covering 24–50 mm at f/4–6.3. Retracted it is only 51 mm long and weighs about 195 g, so it is easy to carry for travel and everyday shooting, indoors or out. It has 11 elements in 10 groups (including 2 ED and 3 aspherical elements), focuses down to 0.35 m throughout the zoom range and takes 52 mm filters.
