HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G records up to eight SMPTE ST 2110 video channels at once to ProRes files directly on network storage, where they can be edited while still recording.

Recording every camera in live production
Recording all your cameras lets you re-edit and color correct the program later. The recorder stores to network storage that multiple workstations can access at the same time, even while recording – so sports replay becomes simple and affordable. Just download DaVinci Resolve free of charge; the DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor makes replay even faster.
New design for professional broadcast
Its processor is eight times more powerful than in HyperDeck Studio 4K. The recorder has extremely quiet front-to-back cooling and full redundancy on all video and data connections. The screen supports light and dark modes, the buttons have a firm feel and the front panel includes a headphone output, a speaker and USB-C for software updates.
Classic broadcast recorder controls
The cooling pulls air through the front panel, so the controls sit on a small island on the right. The machined metal search dial with a soft rubber surface has an electronic clutch. The buttons cover record, play, stop, fast forward and rewind, previous and next clip and input, and every press is output to the RS-422 connector, so you can control other HyperDeck recorders too.
12G-SDI via Blackmagic SDI Expander 8x12G
The bi-directional unit adds 8 inputs and 8 outputs of 12G-SDI for both recording and playback. When connected through a switch, you can mix IP and SDI video.
10G IP video via Blackmagic StudioBridge 10G PWR
StudioBridge 10G PWR breaks out the recorder's 100G port to eight 2110 IP video connections over 10G Ethernet and powers each 10G port with up to 90 W of PoE++.
Straight into a 100G switch
The 100G 2110 port carries all eight video channels over a single connection to a Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820, through which you can mix SDI and IP equipment.
Recording to fast network storage
Only 100G Ethernet can record eight channels of ProRes HQ in Ultra HD. The recorder has two dedicated 100G storage ports for redundancy, and you choose the target folder by browsing the network servers. The fastest options are Blackmagic Cloud Store Ultra with 12 M.2 cards or Blackmagic Media Dock Ultra with removable URSA Cine modules.
Redundant SMPTE 2110 over two 100G ports
The two separate 100G ports can be connected to two completely separate switches. SMPTE 2022-7 sends identical copies of the video and audio over both networks and on the receive side rebuilds each frame from whichever packets arrive first – the switchover is seamless, with no dropped frames or audio glitches.
Redundancy that keeps you on air
The 2110 IP video networks, storage connections, PTP and control ports, fans and AC power supplies are all redundant. If you do not need that much redundancy, data and video can share a single connection. The utility software shows fan status, CPU temperature and transfer speeds on all ports.
ProRes files for wide compatibility
The recorder records ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT, which open in DaVinci Resolve, Media Composer, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. Audio is stored as PCM with 2, 4, 8 or 16 channels.
RS-422 for broadcast automation
The design built on SMPTE 2110 keeps RS-422 serial deck control for existing automation systems, including Advanced Media Protocol commands. The recorder identifies itself with the ID 0xF0E0 (30/60p), 0xF1E0 (25/50p) or 0xF2E0 (24p).
Blackmagic OS
The operating system provides instant power on, a screen with video, timecode and audio meters, a monitor output with overlays, menus, fast networking, media management and 3D LUTs. The menus support light and dark modes, and the 100G connection sustains transfers of up to 12 GB/s.
Live replay in DaVinci Resolve
Resolve is connected to the same storage and shows all ISO recordings in a multiview. Select a camera and go to air, optionally with a stinger; during the replay you still see all views playing in real time. Then load the finished shots into the timeline and build a highlights reel.
Menus in 13 languages
The recorder is localized into English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Polish and Ukrainian. The selected language applies to the menus on the screen and to the overlays on the monitor output.
Connections and controls
The front panel has USB-C, a headphone output, audio control, a speaker, transport controls, input, menu and search buttons, the LCD screen and the search dial.
The rear panel has dual AC power inputs, a 1G management port, 2110 PTP ports, RS-422, 10G control ports, two 100G ports for 2110 IP video, two 100G Ethernet ports for storage and SDI and HDMI monitor outputs.

Multi-camera recording without compromise
Files are recorded in broadcast-quality ProRes directly to network storage, so recordings can be very long. The unit connects via SMPTE 2110 100G Ethernet, so all eight video channels run over a single connection. For 12G-SDI you can add a Blackmagic SDI Expander 8x12G. All eight channels can also be played back, which is handy for testing.
Blackmagic Design HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G is a 2RU SMPTE 2110 broadcast recorder for multi-camera live production and high-bandwidth IP workflows. It stores the eight inputs as separate 10-bit ProRes 4:2:2 files directly on network storage; redundant SMPTE ST 2022-7 protects the transfer over two network paths.
For control room operation it offers RS-422, NMOS control via RJ45 and USB-C for configuration. Two internal AC power supplies, redundant network paths and Blackmagic OS help keep recording running even in demanding productions.
