HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR adds native 8K recording and playback, quad-link 12G-SDI and next-generation mastering performance to the feature set of the 4K model.

Native 8K recording and playback
Quad-link 12G-SDI carries full-resolution 8K. The deck uses efficient H.265 for compact 8K files and also supports professional ProRes workflows.
Dual CFast media for non-stop recording
Two slots let recording continue onto the next card, while a full card can be exchanged during a long session. External storage connects over USB-C.
HDR monitoring and accurate measurement
The bright wide-gamut display supports PQ and HLG, Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709. Built-in scopes automatically adapt to HDR workflows.
8K recording, HDR monitoring and archive migration
HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR combines the proven HyperDeck platform with efficient H.265 recording, an optional internal cache, 3D LUT support and native 8K and HDR workflows. Recording 8K in H.265 preserves excellent image quality while greatly reducing storage requirements.
The large touchscreen provides video monitoring, device control, scopes and HDR checking. It supports PQ and HLG according to SMPTE ST 2084, Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709 colour spaces and the full DCI‑P3 gamut. Waveform, vectorscope, RGB/YUV parade and histogram views can be overlaid on the monitored image.
Quad Link 12G‑SDI records and plays full-resolution 8K up to 4320p60, while the multi-rate connections also handle SD, HD and Ultra HD. Dual CFast slots support media changes during recording, and USB‑C connects external disks or disk arrays.
Analogue video and audio inputs help migrate legacy tape archives into modern files. The optional HyperDeck Extreme Control adds traditional deck operation and can control up to eight recorders or legacy broadcast decks over RS‑422.
