Panasonic has unveiled a series of firmware updates for the LUMIX S1RII, S1II and S1IIE full-frame mirrorless cameras to enhance the hybrid shooting experience and improve functionality. The latest firmware updates are currently available for free download from the LUMIX Global Customer Support website.
- 8.1K/7.2K (3:2) Open Gate recording from the entire sensor area and RAW format video can be transferred via HDMI for external recording.
- The ARRI LogC3 will be available after using the DMW-SFU3A software upgrade key (sold separately), which will allow colors to match ARRI digital film cameras.
- Support for recording photos to HEIF in 10-bit 4:2:0 format.
- Enhanced tools to assist with recording.
- AF with Urban Sports Recognition will be added to existing eye, face and body detection capabilities to accurately capture dynamic movements such as breakdancing, skateboarding and parkour.

- The AF frame color can be selected from 10 colors for better overview.
