Blackmagic Design today released Blackmagic Video Assist 3.21, an update that adds support for recording to Blackmagic RAW format from the Panasonic Lumix S1RII camera on Video Assist 5" and 7" 12G HDR devices. When recording in Blackmagic RAW format using Video Assist 12G HDR, camera settings can now also be saved to metadata. This means that white balance and exposure are encoded directly into the file and can be loaded in DaVinci Resolve. However, these settings can be manually adjusted later in the RAW settings panel during color correction.

Moment has just introduced the all-new Moment Variable ND Filter (2-5 Stop) with CineBloom, combining CineBloom and Variable ND into one single filter! This combination delivers a dreamy cinematic look and precise light control by combining the typical CineBloom diffusion with a built-in variable ND filter in the 2-5 EV range. The result is softly blurred highlights, softer details and smooth movement without the need for filter layering. Available in 10% or 20% diffusion intensity, it allows you to shoot cinematic-looking shots with character, even in low light conditions.
Designed for use in the field, it offers a unique tracking system that is easily visible even when using the viewfinder, so you always know where you are in the ND range - no guessing or checking between shots. Subtle mechanical resistance at the extreme points provides tactile response, and fixed stops prevent unwanted polarization. The filter is housed in a lightweight, precision-machined aluminum frame with a laser-engraved control ring and distinctive red anodized ring - designed for fast operation and durability in the field.
Filter sizes to choose from are 67, 77 and 82 mm.
