Users of EDIUS Workgroup 9, Grass Valley's popular video editing software for Windows, will be able to download and use the previous generation of NewBlueFX's Titler Pro plug-in for free. The Titler Pro 5 will be included in the upcoming new version of the OpenFX Bridge, and the free license for users of EDIUS Workgroup 9 will be permanent. The release will be announced here.

Panasonic has published a new catalog cinema, broadcast, and professional video products for this season. The catalog features the VariCam cinema lineup, the new AU-EVA1 model, 4K camcorders, P2 HD broadcast camera recorders, P2 card drives, and compact HD models, including the AC30, and UCK20 POVCAM. The document also details the LCD monitors, including the BT-4LH310 4K reference monitor.

• Main-line recording onto an SDXC/SDHC memory card available on the market, which is supposed to be for use in an urgent situation, has so far been restricted to the codecs at 50Mbps or less. But, to meet the users’ demand, this restriction is removed. However, that is not to guarantee the recording and playback operations with SDXC/SDHC memory cards.

• The related menus are not displayed so that microP2 B cards are not CPS-formatted by mistake.

• The cameras are designed to start installing the firmware update immediately after it is downloaded via P2 Cast, and an improvement is made to this current design. Menu item “Download Only” is added. This menu item can temporarily end the update process once the download is complete when the update command is received from P2 Cast.
• In UDP transmission, the communication process of streaming format is improved.
• P2 SS becomes unable to be connected, and this problem is fixed..
• Improvement in stability at boot-up
• System error may occur on rare occasions under the specific conditions, and this problem is fixed.

Panasonic AG-UX90 v1.07, AG-AC30 1.04

• After a test tone is output, if you switch to camera mode and start recording, on rare occasions periodic noise is recorded. This problem is fixed.
• If the recording is not completed correctly due to a power interruption or others, the clip will be repaired automatically by rebooting the camera. But, if the card is in the different slot from the one used in this incomplete recording and the auto-repair process is started, the damaged clip (MOV/MP4 file) will be deleted. This will not occur on files except MOV/MP4 mode. This problem is fixed
