Thenew version of the popular 3D modelling application ZBrush is (as always) free for existing users and brings a number of new features including dynamic simulations and brushes for realistic fabric modelling, new modelling functions (e.g. ZModeler > Extrude Edge), improved performance (better brush response, faster work with complex polygonal geometry) and import/export of Collada (DAE) and Alembic (ABC) formats.

Just like the recently released version 5 for 3ds Max, Layer Compositing and Light Mix technologies have been implemented for non-destructive image editing in the V-Ray Frame Buffer window and interactive light editing, respectively, without rendering. V-Ray 5 also offers a new VRay Proxy module for faster rendering, support for the ACEScg color space, and significant optimizations for GPU acceleration (2D displacement, OSL textures, memory optimizations for large scenes).
