Blackmagic Design today announced 4 new models of Ultimatte 12 real time compositing processors that are all designed for creating the next generation of broadcast graphics:  Ultimatte 12 HD, Ultimatte 12 4K and a massive Ultimatte 12 8K, plus a lower cost Ultimatte 12 HD Mini model with HDMI connections priced at only 515 EUR ex. VAT. Also announced was a new Ultimatte Software Control app for Mac and Windows that’s available for download free of charge. This software lets you control all Ultimatte 12 models without the additional cost of a hardware control panel.

This software update improves YouTube delivery and gallery file management as well as better render in place results and improved handling of track metadata. In addition, this update improves trimming for H.264 and ARRI clips in media management as well as addressing an issue with gyro stabilization edges not blanking correctly. Fusion Studio 18.0.2 update addresses an issue with scaling of hue curves control, improves mask edge behavior, provides better importing of FBX files and improved tracker modifier handling on transforms.
