Blackmagic Design Streaming Encoder 4K

The Blackmagic Streaming Encoder 4K is a powerful new streaming processor with H.264 and H.265 support for streaming in HD or Ultra HD quality over SRT or RTMP protocols to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, X and more.

The device includes an output as a USB webcam, a standard converted 12G-SDI input and an output for stream monitoring. Additionally, you can stream over the internet using Ethernet, or connect a phone with 5G or 4G to take advantage of mobile data and via the new Blackmagic Cloud streaming features.

With the 12G-SDI input, you can stream HD and Ultra HD content up to 2160p60. You also get powerful features like a built-in downconverter, USB-C output as a webcam, HDMI status monitoring, and support for connectivity over Ethernet or 4G and 5G mobile networks.

If you need to create a broadcast streaming link, you can use the Blackmagic Streaming Decoder - which receives the stream in H.264 or H.265 format and converts it back to SDI video, or HDMI. This means you can transmit video directly (point-to-point) between remote locations. It even supports tally, talkback, and back-to-camera control.

The Blackmagic Design Streaming Encoder 4K combines a powerful hardware encoder and clear software with a wide range of presets. This makes connecting to most streaming platforms incredibly easy. It's a solution that doesn't require a computer with complex streaming software and hundreds of settings. Everything you need is packed into a compact device 1/3 the width of a rack. Simply connect an SDI video feed from an overhead or camera, then connect to the internet via the built-in Ethernet interface, or connect a smartphone to take advantage of mobile data. With presets for popular streaming platforms, just insert the streaming key and press "on air".

The built-in hardware streaming engine has been carefully designed to deliver professional broadcast quality live streaming. This gives you a self-contained live streaming solution that works without dropouts and loss of frames. Setup is easy - the Blackmagic Streaming Utility software lets you select a streaming platform and enter or update the streaming key. The utility works on both Mac and Windows and connects either via USB or remotely via Ethernet. If you're tech-savvy, you can even edit the preset profiles, which are stored in XML format - so you can change advanced settings or add your own streaming platforms.

The Blackmagic Streaming Encoder offers two USB-C ports that can be used as a webcam output. This means you can connect it to any computer and use it with any video software in 720p HD, 1080p HD or 2160p Ultra HD resolution. So you can connect the Blackmagic Streaming Encoder to Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Webex and call your client in broadcast quality.

The Blackmagic Streaming Encoder features a 12G-SDI input with support for all HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60. Also included is a 12G-SDI loop output that allows you to link video across multiple devices so you can stream to multiple platforms simultaneously. The device uses Teranex conversion technology on the SDI input, ensuring incredibly clear and high quality images.
