Libec TH-Z2 S8 KIT

The Libec TH-Z2 S8 KIT combines the lightweight TH-Z2 tripod system for cameras up to 5 kg with the ALX S8 slider. The rail is 800 mm long with 708 mm of travel, and the slider mounts straight into the 75 mm bowl of the TH-Z T legs or stands on the ground. The dual-base TH-Z H fluid head moves onto the slider. The kit weighs 5.3 kg.

The Libec TH-Z2 S8 KIT combines the lightweight TH-Z2 tripod and TH-Z H fluid head with the ALX S8 slider, which has a 800 mm rail and 708 mm of travel. The slider mounts directly on the 75 mm bowl tripod, the head moves to its flat base, and you are ready for smooth tracking shots. The whole kit weighs 5.3 kg.

Smooth travel, no wobble

The slider carriage runs on eight ball bearings with special grease. They clamp the rail from the top and at an angle, so nothing wobbles in motion.

Drag to match the camera

A spring-loaded friction knob fine-tunes the carriage resistance to the camera weight. Bearing pressure on the rail adjusts with the supplied hex wrench.

Legs fold 180°

The slider legs fold through 180°, so the ALX S8 goes into its case without removing them. The rail is easy to swap using the leg lock knob.

On the tripod or on the ground

A tripod mount adapter and bowl clamp come with the slider, so the ALX S8 sits on the TH-Z T legs with their 75 mm bowl. On the ground it stands on its own legs.

A head for the slider

The dual base of the TH-Z H fits a 75 mm bowl and the slider’s flat base.

Sliding plate

±30 mm travel, compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler heads.

Threads on the rail

The underside of the rail has 1/4" and 3/8" threads.

Tilt +90° to −80°

The head works from −20 to +60 °C.

Bearing adjustment. The supplied hex wrench sets how firmly the carriage bearings press against the rail.

Tripod mount adapter. The adapter with bowl clamp puts the slider on a tripod with a 75 mm bowl.
