Blackmagic Design introduce a new "G2" PCIe variant of the DeckLink 8K Pro card, now with an expansion card with HDMI 2.1 I/O (up to 4Kp120 DCI and 8Kp60 DCI) for easy connection of 4K and 8K monitors/projectors. With 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.1 interfaces, the DeckLink 8K Pro G2 supports all common SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K DCI, 8K and 8K DCI standards including high frame rate modes, Rec. 2020 standard and up to RGB 4:4:4 sampling (12 bits). Third beta DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 speeds up the UltraNR effect for noise reduction and adds the ability to activate the Music Remixer tool for individual clips. Also new is support for HDR display in Windows, improved media playback including a higher number of audio tracks that can be played back in the Source Viewer and Inspector windows without artifacts, and more robust motion tracking functionality in the Fusion section/program. Second public beta Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 19 offers a number of fixes and improvements including displaying safe zone guides during playback, better trimming of audio files, the ability to apply color corrections to Node Stack layers, increased stability for Fusion section/app compositions using bitmap inputs, etc. Download here.

Blackmagic Design have expanded the ATEM Constellation family of professional overheads with two new models: ATEM 1 M/E Constellation 4K a ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4Kwhich are 4K variants of the popular, eponymous HD variants. They offer up to 20x 12G-SDI inputs and traditional DVE, multiview, SuperSource or ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyer features, and are on sale now. The third generation monitors are scheduled for release in May and June respectively SmartView 4K a Audio Monitor 12G, newly offering IP video SMPTE-2110 inputs.
