In yet another online product launch, Blackmagic Design revealed several new products: the "3G" variants of the Video Assist camera monitor/recorders (offering a standard LCD display and support for max 1080p60 video at a significantly lower price point compared to the 12G HDR versions), upgraded variants of the UltraStudio (Mini) Monitor/Recorder ("3G") converters with a modern Thunderbolt 3 interface, and an unexpected addition to the URSA Mini Pro family of professional digital cinema c ameras with an all-new Super 35 12K sensor! The camera will offer Blackmagic RAW recording up to 12K DCI (12,288 x 6,480!), a dynamic range of 14 aperture numbers, interchangeable bayonets (will come standard with PL), HFR shooting (e.g. 4K DCI up to 110 fps) and recording to external drives (USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2; incl. the new URSA Mini Recorder variant), among others!

The new update for DaVinci Resolve implements improved debayering algorithms for RAW media from EOS-1D X Mark III and EOS R5 cameras, more precise timeline cursor synchronization in the Cut section, improved tone mapping for HDR projects, faster decoding of JPEG 2000 files on Windows and Linux, or support for Blackmagic RAW 1.8... The new Synco Mic-D30

short-gun camera electret microphone for ENG/EFP applications uses an innovative interference tube system with angled holes for very good directivity with significant sound attenuation from the sides. The microphone features a rotary control knob for infinite gain control, a switchable high-pass filter (75 and 150 Hz) and technology for automatic gain reduction when 124 dB SPL is reached.

Red Giant have updated their PluralEyes application for automatic audio-video synchronization, which now offers seamless collaboration with DaVinci Resolve (you can sync in PluralEyes and then export to Resolve, as well as prepare files directly in DaVinci Resolve and then send them to PluralEyes for synchronization). Version 4.1.11 also offers compatibility with Blackmagic RAW media (with the exception of the PluralEyes preview) and with video files produced by the RED Gemini camera.The update is free for owners of current Shooter Suite 13 and PluralEyes 4licenses.
