Sigma has introduced three new fixed focal length lenses for Leica L-Mount and Sony E-Mount cameras: 17 mm f/4 DG DN a 50 mm f/2 DG DN for FF cameras and 23 mm f/1.4 DC DN for APS-C sensor models. The new products introduced bring compact design, excellent optical quality and metal bodies to both FF models. The X Mount variants are expected to go on sale during this summer.
Panasonic has announced support for external recording to Blackmagic RAW (over HDMI using Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR) in the new S5M2X (will be included in the FW at the time of launch around the end of the month) and in the 2.0 update for the S5M2 (will require a paid DMW-SFU2 upgrade). Update 2.0 for S5M2 will be available from 13.6.2023 and will also offer Live View Composite functionality. The S5M2X variant will also bring expanded support for external recorders incl. Atomos Ninja V, Atomos Shogun Connect and Atomos Ninja V+. As a reminder, thepromotion offering a bonus 2TB SanDisk external USB SSD with (pre-)orders of this model is valid only until May 15, 2023.
