LUMIX S9: A stylish notebook for content creators on the go
The large 24.2MP full-frame sensor, the same as in the Lumix S5M2, and the latest image processor produce images with rich detail and natural tones. In addition, the camera is equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) technology, with support for advanced subject recognition and tracking. Advanced Active I.S. image stabilization significantly reduces blur caused by hand shake or shooting while walking or running, ensuring sharp images in any situation.

The LUMIX S9 also allows creators to easily use a range of color filters directly in the camera using the Real-Time LUT function, now personalized with a dedicated "LUT" button on the camera body. In addition, the new LUMIX Lab app makes it easy to create your own unique LUT filters directly on your smartphone. This allows users to effortlessly create original and shareable photos and videos without the need for post-production editing on a computer, expanding the possibilities for creativity. The new app also increases the speed of data transfer from the camera to the phone.

For smooth transfer of high-quality videos, the LUMIX S9 introduces a new "MP4 Lite" recording format (up to 50 Mbps, max. 3.8K 30p 4:2:0 10 bits). Full-frame video capture in 3840x2560 (3:2) in 4:2:0, 10-bit, 30p/25p quality, allowing creators to produce high-quality videos with an aspect ratio suitable for social networks and mobile devices, as well as the possibility of significant cropping and digital zoom while maintaining high image quality. The files created are up to 41% smaller for up to 1.7x faster transfer speeds compared to MP4 data on other LUMIX S series models.

New LUMIX Lab app for easy editing and sharing
High-speed transfer of photos and videos from the camera to your phone allows users to easily create original LUT filters and transfer them from your phone to your camera and vice versa. Real-Time LUT filters
LUT filters can be freely edited and uploaded to cameras, and the LUT button on the camera body can be used to directly select filters. Options for adjusting filter opacity and film grain simulation effects have also been added. At the same time, LUT filters and "Photo Style" can also be combined.

Panasonic LUMIX S 18-40 mm f/4.5-6.3 lens

The LUMIX S 18-40 mm is the world's smallest and lightest zoom lens (10/2024): it weighs approximately 155 g and is designed as a compact and lightweight addition to the LUMIX S full-frame lens series. It covers focal lengths from ultra-wide-angle 18 mm to standard 40 mm, and with an MFD of 0.15 m, it allows you to capture both expansive landscapes and buildings or portrait shots in a natural perspective, as well as details. The lens is also suitable for shooting videos thanks to its effective breathing suppression.

LUMIX S9 FW 1.1 (October 9, 2024)
