Nikon Z5 (body)

The Nikon Z5 is a tough, light and easy-to-handle full-frame mirrorless camera, compatible with a wide range of compact NIKKOR Z lenses. Its 24.3 MP FX-format sensor, 5-axis image stabilisation, eye-detection autofocus and two UHS-II SD slots deliver impressive quality whether you shoot stills or 4K video.

24.3 MP full-frame sensor

The 24.3-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor takes full advantage of the wide Nikon Z mount to deliver superb results – portraits with rich tonal gradations and video with ultra-shallow depth of field.

Steady images with any lens

In-camera 5-axis vibration reduction lets you shoot at shutter speeds up to five stops slower than otherwise possible. Whichever NIKKOR Z lens you use, stills stay sharp and video stays steady.

Sharp focus on the eyes

The 273-point hybrid autofocus system focuses quickly and precisely on subjects anywhere in the frame. For stills, it locks on to the eyes of people, dogs and cats and keeps them in focus even when the subject moves.

Smooth 4K video

The camera records sharp 4K Ultra HD video, and full-frame NIKKOR Z lenses enable beautiful depth of field. You can create time-lapse movies in-camera and take stills while filming.

Performance in any light

The ISO 100–51,200 range delivers clean images with great dynamic range at both low and high ISO values, whatever the lighting.

Nikon Z toughness and ergonomics

A magnesium-alloy body sealed against dust and moisture – especially around moving parts and buttons – ensures a long service life. The body is smaller, but the deep grip feels secure and key controls are right where you expect them.

Dual memory card slots

Both slots accept fast UHS-II SD cards. You can easily set the slots to use one card for shooting and one for backup, or save movies to one card and stills to the other.

Sharp viewfinder and tilting touch monitor

The 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder shows exactly what you will get, with exposure, ISO and white balance applied in real time. The 8 cm (3.2″) tilting touch monitor makes it easy to find angles, touch to focus and browse images.

USB power and charging

The Nikon Z5 can be charged (when switched off) or powered via USB – handy for long indoor sessions or time-lapse recording.

Picture Control and SnapBridge

The Picture Control system offers creative filters previewed in real time in the viewfinder or on the monitor. The SnapBridge app transfers images to your phone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Nikon Z5 is a great choice for anyone looking for a combination of quality, reliability and ease of use.
