Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP 100G

The DeckLink IP 100G is a new PCIe Gen 4 card that enables up to 8 channels of Ultra HD video to be captured and played back simultaneously in SMPTE-2110 IP-based broadcast systems via two QSFP28 fiber optic 100G Ethernet ports that provide full redundancy, or connect to two separate 100G Ethernet switches. Availability is expected for July 2025.

DeckLink IP 100G also includes built-in cooling. The device supports GPUDirect RDMA for direct memory transfer between the DeckLink and the GPU, reducing PCIe bandwidth when processing video on the GPU, resulting in significant latency reduction.

The card is designed to work with the highest quality video and supports recording and playback in formats such as Apple ProRes, DNxHD and even uncompressed 10-bit video. DeckLink IP 100G connections are multirate, which means support for all SD, HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p120.

With the DeckLink IP 100G, the IP10 open standard codec reduces bitrate for TV standards 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 - and with only 8 samples of latency. In addition, it is a very compact codec that consumes minimal FPGA resources, ensuring that SMPTE-2110 IP video products remain affordable.

DeckLink IP 100G supports all popular video software. It is ideal for use with DaVinci Resolve, for example, as an editing and color correction solution in SMPTE-2110 IP-based broadcast systems. Because DeckLink IP supports simultaneous recording and playback, you can also use the live grading feature in DaVinci Resolve - that is, capture video, apply color corrections, and output it instantly at the same time. DeckLink IP also works with other editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro and more. You can also use it to create visual effects in Fusion, After Effects or Photoshop. Plus, a Windows WDM driver is included .
