Blackmagic DeckLink IP HD is a low profile PCI Express card for capturing and playing back video directly into SMPTE 2110 networks. Through a single 10G Ethernet port with an RJ45 connector it carries two input and two output channels of SD and HD up to 1080p60, each with 16 audio channels. It works with the same software as all other DeckLink cards on macOS, Windows and Linux computers.

Two inputs and two outputs over one port
The 10GBASE-T port carries two input and two output channels at the same time, each up to 1080p60 with 16 channels of embedded 48 kHz / 24-bit audio. You connect the card to standard 10G Ethernet switches and existing cabling in server rooms, control rooms and at workstations.
Full SMPTE 2110 and PTP support
The card conforms to SMPTE 2110-20 (uncompressed video), 2110-21 (traffic shaping), 2110-30 (PCM audio) and 2110-40 (ancillary data). Video, audio and data travel over the network independently, multicast distributes one source to many destinations and a common PTP clock (IEEE 1588, ST 2059) keeps all sources in sync.
A virtual router with NMOS
Support for NMOS IS-04 (discovery and registration) and IS-05 (connection management) lets you control 2110 IP devices as one large virtual router. You connect sources and destinations just like on a traditional SDI router – for example from Videohub Smart Control, which works as an NMOS controller.
Broadcast quality
The card works with 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 in all formats and with 8, 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 1080p30, in Rec. 601, 709 and 2020 color spaces. Capture to ProRes, DNxHD or uncompressed 10-bit video keeps images free of generational loss for keying, compositing and color correction.
Low profile and dimensions
The card is 183 mm long, weighs 105 g and draws 10 W. The PCI Express x4 generation 2 interface works in x4, x8 and x16 slots; with the low profile bracket included the card fits into rack mount servers and compact computers. On Mac it requires a Mac Pro with PCI Express slots.
DaVinci Resolve and other software
With DaVinci Resolve you get an editing and grading workstation directly on the 2110 network – simultaneous capture and playback even enables live grading. The card works with Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Media Composer, Fusion, After Effects and Photoshop, with broadcast automation and with streaming applications such as OBS or Wirecast. Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the driver are included, and the free Desktop Video SDK is available for custom applications.

The low profile bracket has a single RJ45 connector for the 10G Ethernet port (10GBASE-T) to connect to the SMPTE 2110 network.

Details for IP video
The DeckLink IP family includes PCI Express cards for capturing and playing back 10-bit uncompressed video in IP infrastructure based on the SMPTE 2110 standard. The cards offer several full duplex channels in three HD models: DeckLink IP HD has two input and two output channels up to 1080p60 and an RJ45 Ethernet connector, DeckLink IP HD Optical also has two input and two output channels and a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optical port, and DeckLink IP/SDI HD bridges 3G-SDI and 2110 IP with two channels for simultaneous capture and playback, an RJ45 connector, 3G-SDI and a reference output. All models support 720p, 1080i and 1080p standards up to 1080p60.
DeckLink IP cards are the easiest way to capture and play back IP video based on the SMPTE 2110 standard. They offer the same features as other DeckLink cards and work with the same applications (including DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Media Composer, After Effects, Pro Tools, Nuendo, Final Cut Pro and EDIUS), so they fit into existing production chains. They use the fast PCI Express bus and are compatible with current versions of macOS, Windows and Linux.
