Routing and diagnostics right at the rack

The 2.2″ color LCD display shows video, format, audio and timecode and is used for menus and diagnostics. IP sources for the SDI outputs can be selected from the front panel; the front USB-C port is used for setup and updates.

Six SDI devices on one cable

A single 10G Ethernet port carries three input and three output channels up to 1080p60, each with up to 16 channels of embedded audio and ancillary data. The SDI loop outputs let you insert the converter into an existing signal path without interrupting it.

Point to point or a large network

The converter can be connected directly to its counterpart without a network switch, or plugged into an SMPTE-2110 network with connections managed via NMOS, just like a traditional video router. It is controlled from the front panel, over the network or via USB-C.

Bringing SDI equipment into a managed IP workflow

The converter conforms to the SMPTE ST 2110 family of standards for uncompressed video, traffic shaping, PCM audio and ancillary data. It can re-sync SDI inputs to a common PTP clock and uses multicast to distribute a source efficiently to multiple destinations.

NMOS support enables discovery and control of 2110 devices as a virtual router: IS-04 handles discovery and registration, IS-05 connection management. Switchers, recorders, playout servers and streaming processors can join the IP infrastructure without replacing their 3G-SDI interfaces.
