Product description

The Datavideo NVS-35 is a compact H.264 encoder and recorder designed for live streaming and simultaneous recording to an SD card. It connects to a source via HDMI or 3G-SDI, accepts audio through two balanced XLR inputs or an unbalanced RCA input, and allows for simultaneous streaming to two platforms. It is suitable for corporate presentations, classroom instruction, religious services, and smaller live productions where it is important to have a local recording in addition to the broadcast.

Stream and record

It streams to two platforms at once while recording to an SD card. The total bitrate for recording plus two streams reaches 36 Mb/s at 1080p50/60.

Video and Audio Inputs

Select an HDMI or 3G-SDI video input. Audio can be fed in via two balanced XLR connectors or an unbalanced RCA input; the device also supports audio embedded in the HDMI or SDI signal. Audio output can come from an embedded, external, or mixed source.

Formats, Recording, and Streaming

The encoder supports H.264 and allows recordings to be saved as MP4 or TS files on an SD card. It supports the FAT, exFAT, and NTFS file systems. Available streaming protocols include RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, MPEG-TS over TCP/UDP, and SRT; the 9:16 vertical output facilitates publishing to mobile platforms.

Live Operation Controls

Basic options and the start of a stream or recording are controlled using the buttons on the front panel. Detailed settings are configured via a web interface from a computer or tablet. This allows you to select the video input, target platform, and bitrate based on the available connection.
