Panasonic has introduced three new and lightweight 4Kp60 camcorders: the HC-X1500, HC-X2000 and AC-CX10. The new models feature a Leica wide-angle zoom lens (25mm, f/1.8, 24x), precision autofocus system, two manual rings, ND filter, LED video light (except for the X1500, this variant does not have the VW-HU1
handle) and 24-bit PCM quality audio recording. All cameras also offer internal 4:2:2 10-bit recording (up to 4Kp30) or HDMI output with 4Kp60/10-bit support, a high-efficiency HEVC codec (MOV, MP4 and AVCHD; the AC-CX10 also supports P2 MXF) and a Wi-Fi interface with HD live streaming without additional equipment. In addition to P2 MXF format support, the broadcast variant of the CX10 will also offer 3G-SDI output (also applicable to the HC-X2000), and an Ethernet interface (with included micro USB > LAN adapter) with NDI|HX support (requires optional license). All three new models will be launched around the end of March this year.

The new models offer a high-brightness display (2,500 cd/m2) for seamless operation in bright sunlight or for processing HDR material, a solid metal body, ProRes, DNx and Blackmagic RAW recording (including support for Panasonic EVA1 and Canon C300 MkII cameras!), recording to external USB-C SSDs, 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0a interfaces... The larger 7" variant offers two SD card slots (only one in the 5" model), two analog audio inputs (with Mini XLR connectors, 48V phantom power for microphones and -128 dBV noise level) and full size BNC connectors for SDI interface (Micro BNC in the 5" version).
