New in stock soon SDI variant of the Hollyland Pyro wireless system offering not only HDMI (4K/30) but also 3G-SDI input/output (1080/60), Auto Dual-Band Hopping (ADH) technology for more reliable transmission, color LCD status display on both units (showing battery level, active channel, etc.), lower latency of 50 ms (60 ms for the Pyro H) and support for RTMP streaming. Like the HDMI variant, the Pyro S version offers up to 4K/30 video transmission over a distance of 400 m, support for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands and the USB Video Class (UVC) standard. In the near future, a new hollyland Pyro series will be complemented by a Pyro 7 module integrating receiver and transmitter and a 7" monitor...

Panasonic introduces a new representative of the series LUMIX S, the S9! The new ultra-compact FF mirrorless camera with L-Mount is available in attractive colour options (Jet Black, Crimson Red, Dark Olive and Classical Blue) and features a powerful 24.2MP FF sensor (from the S5M2), PDAF focusing and effective image stabilisation (up to 5 EV, 6.5 EV with lens). Compared to the more powerful S5M2 model, it offers a very compact body (126 x 74 x 47 mm vs. 134 x 102 x 90 mm) and low weight (486 g incl. battery and card vs. 740 g) at the expense of no viewfinder (only 3" 1.84MP tilt/turn display), flash cartridge, one slot for UHS-II media or elimination of headphone output. The manufacturer has put emphasis on easy video sharing (new "MP4 Lite" recording mode, 50 Mbps, max 3.8K 30p 4:2:0 10-bit) and simple creation and application of LUT corrections, which have now also earned a dedicated button on the body of the device and new Lumix LAB software. Of course, there is also the option to record standard video formats incl. C4K/4K 60p/50p (4:2:2, 10-bit) and FHD 120p/100p. A super-compact manual "pancake" lens was also introduced simultaneously LUMIX S 26 mm f/8which, with its dimensions (18.1 mm long) and weight of approx. 58 g, was tailored to the spontaneous nature of the new S9. The new LUMIX will go on sale around mid-June (standalone body and 20-60mm and 28-200mm lens kits), while the other new lens introduced (the LUMIX S 18-40 mm f/4.5-6.3, also aimed at S9 users) has no launch date or further details yet.

The latter will be on sale from June and will offer many of the features of the X-T5 in a smaller, cheaper body, such as a 40MP X-Trans BSI CMOS sensor, powerful image stabilisation (up to 7 EV), 20 film simulations, 10-bit 4:2:2 6.2K/30 video recording and RAW output over HDMI.

Professional storage media specialists Wise have launched new CFexpress A and B cards, as well as a new CFX B card reader with USB 4.0 interface for high transfer speeds. The new Wise CFX4-B and CFX4-B PRO series use a PCIe Gen 4 x2 interface for read and write speeds of up to 3700 MB/s and 3600 MB/s respectively in the "Pro" variants! The new CFexpress 4.0 Type A cards are designed for Sony Alpha and FX devices, come in capacities up to 1TB, offer read speeds up to 1865MB/s and write speeds up to 1750MB/s, and are VPG400 certified.
