Analog sources into 12G‑SDI

Convert output from Betacam SP, VHS, set-top boxes, game consoles or HDV cameras into professional SDI infrastructure.

The converter supports Composite, Y/C and Component video and provides two 12G‑SDI outputs.

Composite, Y/C and Component

One converter handles common NTSC and PAL analog standards as well as component HD sources. The SDI output can be switched to HD or Ultra HD according to the input.

Two 12G‑SDI outputs simplify simultaneous connection to a recorder, router or monitor.

Ready for installations

The metal chassis has a built-in 100–240 V supply and can also be powered through PoE+. USB and Ethernet provide configuration and software updates.

The optional Smart Panel adds an LCD, rotary control and buttons for front-panel setup.

Embed audio and timecode

Two balanced analog channels or four channels of digital AES/EBU audio can be embedded into the SDI output. The right XLR can be configured as a timecode input.

SDI audio uses standard 48 kHz / 24-bit sampling.

A rugged converter for rack or standalone use

Professional analog video to dual 12G‑SDI converter. It accepts Composite, Y/C or Component video, embeds analog or AES/EBU audio, and converts the signal to SD, HD or Ultra HD up to 2160p59.94.

Teranex Mini uses a carefully designed crossflow cooling system with an internal heat pipe. The converters can operate reliably side by side in a rack, on a desktop or in a mobile system without the powerful 12G‑SDI electronics creating unnecessary noise.

Multi-rate 12G‑SDI automatically detects SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 while remaining compatible with older SDI equipment. A single standard BNC cable therefore serves both current and legacy studio workflows.

The built-in universal AC supply removes reliance on an external adapter. Ethernet provides remote administration and can also supply backup PoE+ power; the optional Smart Panel adds an LCD preview, rotary control and direct settings. Up to three units fit the optional 1U rack shelf.
