The Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO is a compact yet highly advanced live production switcher designed for professional broadcasting, streaming, event production, and multicamera workflows. Combining video switching, ISO recording, live streaming, audio mixing, camera control, and cloud collaboration into a single portable unit, it offers a complete live production solution for studios and mobile productions alike.

Equipped with eight independent 3G-SDI inputs supporting resolutions up to 1080p60, the HD8 ISO allows simultaneous connection of multiple cameras and video sources. Each input features its own built-in standards converter, enabling mixed-format HD and SD sources to work seamlessly together.

The ISO version extends the capabilities of the standard model by recording all eight video inputs as separate H.264 video files with synchronized timecode, making multicam editing in professional NLE software fast and efficient. Program output is also recorded, while built-in network storage enables editors to access and work with media even while recording is still in progress. Integration with Blackmagic Cloud allows recordings and projects to be instantly shared and accessed remotely from anywhere in the world.

The switcher includes advanced broadcast features such as ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, DVE effects, transitions, media players, picture-in-picture support, and professional graphics handling with alpha channel support. The integrated Fairlight audio mixer provides powerful 58-channel audio processing and routing capabilities for professional live sound production.

A redesigned front panel offers intuitive hardware controls, source selection buttons, transition controls, streaming and recording buttons, live audio monitoring, and a professional T-bar fader for manual transitions. Users can also access expanded controls through the included ATEM Software Control application for macOS and Windows.

Built-in hardware streaming enables direct live streaming to platforms such as YouTube without requiring additional streaming hardware or software. USB webcam output also allows simple integration with conferencing and streaming applications.
