The KMU-100 is a unique 4K multicamera production solution that delivers multiple virtual Full HD (up to 1080p) scaled shots with minimal installation cost and simple operation. The basic concept is straightforward: The output of a single 4K/UHD camera is connected to KMU-100, which then displays up to four 16x9 user-defined windows that are sent out as four separate HD signals through HD-SDI. These user defined windows can be scaled, and using the new RMC-185 controller, users can select a particular subject on the 4K signal. The integrated joystick allows to easily pan and zoom anywhere in the 4K signal to select up to four user defined shots per 4K camera. An additional 4K camera could be connected to the KMU-100 to allow up to eight defined outputs from two 4K signals.

For this year's NAB, Stardom has prepared several new solutions integrating new USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 interfaces, all featuring the USB Type-C connector and hugh transfer speeds! The new rack-based Stardom DR8-TB3 features 2x Thunderbolt 3 interface, and hardware RAID supporting RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60/JBOD for up to 8x 3.5/2.5” HDDs or SSDs. The smaller, portable 2-drive units SOHOTANK ST2-B31 and SOHORAID DR2-B31 both feature the new „SuperSpeed USB” (USB 3.1 Gen. 2) with 10Gbps transfer rates.

Steinberg released a maintenance updates 8.5.30 for Cubase Pro and Artist. The updates greatly improve the compatibility with MusicXML exports for imports into Dorico. The new Cubase 9 Pro and Cubase 9 Elements trial versions may be used for a period of 30 days, and include all functionality of the full versions. The Pro version requires the USB-eLicenser.
