This June or July, new ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K and ATEM Television Studio 4K8 switchers are scheduled for launch. The Constellation 4K model is based on the ATEM 4 M/E Constellation HD variant, plus it brings 40 12G-SDI inputs with standards conversion and support for resolutions up to 2160p60 and 24 12G-SDI outputs. ATEM Television Studio 4K8 will be the Ultra HD version of the recently launched ATEM Television Studio HD8 switcher with an integrated control surface, also with 12G-SDI interface (8 12G-SDI inputs with standards conversion, 10 12G-SDI outputs and a 4-port 10G Ethernet switch).

SmallRig FreeBlazer Kit (3989) is a kit of the SmallRig FreeBlazer carbon tripod (4167) and SmallRig DH10 video head ( 4165) offering a height range of 94-197 cm (99 cm in the folded position), a tripod load capacity of up to 25 kg, quick-release leg segment locks, infinitely adjustable head friction and a head load capacity of up to 10 kg. The kit comes with a newly designed quick release plate; the head is compatible with Manfrotto and DJI RS 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro stabilizer plates. The head's removable telescopic handle is suitable for both left- and right-handed users; the head also offers an additional 1/4"-20 mounting thread, e.g. for installing auxiliary magic arms, etc. The carbon base is light and strong, and also offers the possibility to quickly replace the tripod's wide boots with steel spikes and thus adapt the tripod to the actual terrain. PortKeys revealaed new monitor at this year's NAB BM7IIDS with a high-brightness (2200cd/m2) display and wide colour gamut, HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs/outputs, wired and wireless remote camera control (including RED, Sony, Blackmagic Design, Panasonic, Canon, Z Cam...), Tilta Nucleus-N/M wired remote side focus control, 3D LUT corrections, etc. We can look forward to it next month, when the next two new products on display should be released, a 21.5" production monitor MT22DS and a 7″ touchscreen camera monitor LH7P with wireless remote control for Blackmagic Design and Sony cameras.

Two camera innovations from Blackmagic Design also saw the light of day at NAB: a new variant of the top model in the URSA series, and the "URSA Broadcast ENG Kit". The first brings an OLPF filter for moiré/aliasing reduction (e.g. when shooting virtual sets wquipped with LED walls, etc.), the second product is a set of accessories for URSA Broadcast series cameras, greatly facilitating the creation of rigs for ENG/handheld/shoulder shooting. Among the new Blackmagic Design products introduced at NAB 2023 are devices supporting the modern SMPTE 2110 standard for IP video: 2110 IP Converter 3x3G and a trio of DeckLink IP series cards. The former allows 3G-SDI signals to be converted to the SMPTE 2110 IP standard and features a 10G Ethernet interface (supporting up to three simultaneous 3G-SDI video channels) and a sleek front panel with a color LCD display (for signal monitoring, menu browsing and diagnostics). The DeckLink IP family currently includes three PCIe cards for uploading and playing back up to 1080p60 video within an IP infrastructure: DeckLink IP HD (three channels, RJ-45 Ethernet interface), DeckLink IP HD Optical (also three channels, 10GBASE-LR/SFP+ optical port) and DeckLink IP/SDI HD (2 channels, RJ-45 interface, 3G-SDI and sync output). All of these new products will be on sale during June this year.
