Tilta Nucleus-M II Electronic Focus Marking Disk

The Tilta Electronic Focus Marking Disk WLC-T06-EMD mounts on the Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit around the hand wheel and shows focus distance, depth of field and stored marks on its display. It draws power and data directly from the unit, the scale zooms in or out as needed, and on a lens change you simply switch the profile in the unit's menu. It snaps on like the mechanical disk and is held by a recessed quick-release button.

The Tilta Electronic Focus Marking Disk is the replacement or second electronic disk for the Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit — the same one that ships in the WLC-T06 and WLC-T06-K1 kits. Instead of hand-written marks on the white disk it has a display that draws the marks from the mapped lens.

A display instead of a marker

The disk shows focus distance, depth of field and the marks the focus puller stores right around the hand wheel — in a comfortable working position, without looking at the unit's main display. The scale zooms in or out depending on how finely you are pulling at the moment, and on a lens change you switch the profile in the FIZ unit's menu and the disk redraws. The direction of the marks cannot be reversed at this time.

Mounts like the mechanical disk

The disk snaps onto the FIZ Hand Unit just like the mechanical follow focus marking disk and gets power and data through contacts directly from the unit — no cable, no battery of its own. It releases with a deeper-set quick-release button: it only gets pressed on purpose, so the disk does not come off by accident during work, yet it swaps in a second.

The Tilta Nucleus-M II system

Nucleus-M II is wireless lens control: motors on 15/19 mm rods turn focus, iris and zoom, the FIZ hand unit or the hand grip with wheel drive them remotely, and power and data run over 7-pin cables. The parts of the WLC-T06 series combine — motor gears, cables, brackets, grip modules and the case all belong to the same system, including this one.
