Tilta Nucleus-M II P-Tap to 7-Pin Power Cable (70cm)

The Tilta WLC-T06-P7P-70 is the 70 cm P-Tap to 7-pin power cable for the Nucleus-M II system. It plugs into the P-Tap output of a battery or battery plate and powers a Nucleus-M motor or hand grip; further motors are then daisy-chained with 7-pin to 7-pin cables. The 7-pin connector locks against accidental disconnection. It fits Nucleus-M II and first-generation Nucleus-M motors and hand grips.

The P-Tap to 7-pin power cable (70 cm) is the first link in powering the motors on a rig: from the P-Tap port of a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery it feeds one Nucleus-M II motor, which passes power on through its second 7-pin port. The motors therefore need neither their own batteries nor an extra splitter.

From P-Tap to the first motor

P-Tap (D-Tap) is standard on professional batteries and battery plates, so the cable powers the motors from the same battery that runs the camera. It plugs into one motor; the other motors take power and data from it over 7-pin to 7-pin cables (WLC-T06-7P-30 and 7P-50). The same cable can also power a hand grip from P-Tap. The 7-pin connector has a lock against accidental disconnection, so a tug on the cable on the rig does not break the link. The 70 cm length reaches from a battery plate at the back of the camera to a motor on the front rods, even with longer lenses.

The Tilta Nucleus-M II system

Nucleus-M II is wireless lens control: motors on 15/19 mm rods turn focus, iris and zoom, the FIZ hand unit or the hand grip with wheel drive them remotely, and power and data run over 7-pin cables. The parts of the WLC-T06 series combine — motor gears, cables, brackets, grip modules and the case all belong to the same system, including this one.
