Tilta Dovetail Mounting Bracket for Electronic Suction Cup (6″)

The Tilta HDA-DMB-6 bracket with a 67 mm dovetail receiver bolts onto the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup with four 1/4″-20 screws. The cup then carries the dovetail plates of the Hydra Alien Pro system: you add a bigger, stronger cup to an existing damped-arm rig without changing anything else. The joint under the receiver tilts so the plate sits flat even on curved bodywork.

The Tilta Dovetail Mounting Bracket is one of five interchangeable brackets for the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup. On top it has a 67 mm dovetail receiver that the Hydra Alien Pro dovetail plates slide into — the same interface as on the cups supplied with that system. The 6″ electronic cup thus becomes one more, stronger support for the arm with the camera.

Straight onto the 6″ electronic suction cup

The bracket sits on the top face of the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup and is held by four 1/4″-20 screws. The joint is as rigid as a fixed mount, yet it comes apart at any time and swaps for another bracket in the range — baby pin, 19 mm rod, M25 or the Manfrotto ball head. One cup serves several rigs and moves between them in minutes.

67 mm dovetail receiver for the Hydra Alien Pro

The receiver on top takes the Hydra Alien Pro dovetail plates, secures them with a lever and stands on a tilting joint with a locking screw — so the plate stays level on a bonnet, a wing or a sloping pillar. The 6″ cup has up to twice the holding force of the 4.5″ version and monitors its own vacuum, so an existing Alien Pro rig gains a stronger, safer anchor point with no change to the arm.
