Tilta Manfrotto Ball Head Mounting Bracket for Electronic Suction Cup (6″)

The Tilta HDA-MBMB-6 bracket with a ball head and a Manfrotto quick-release adapter bolts onto the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup with four 1/4″-20 screws. A small camera or accessory on a Manfrotto plate then clicks in, tilts to any angle on the ball head and switches between landscape and portrait. The bracket is aluminium alloy.

The Tilta Manfrotto Ball Head Mounting Bracket is one of five interchangeable brackets for the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup. It carries a ball head with a quick-release adapter for Manfrotto plates on top, so a small camera goes on and off the cup as quickly as on a tripod. The Manfrotto plate is not included.

Straight onto the 6″ electronic suction cup

The bracket sits on the top face of the Hydra 6″ electronic suction cup and is held by four 1/4″-20 screws. The joint is as rigid as a fixed mount, yet it comes apart at any time and swaps for another bracket in the range — baby pin, dovetail, 19 mm rod or M25. One cup serves several rigs: a small camera on the bonnet today, a light or a rod tomorrow.

Ball head with a Manfrotto adapter

Above the base sits a ball head with a locking lever; loosen it and the camera tilts to any angle, aims off the cup's axis and locks with the one lever. On top is the quick-release adapter for Manfrotto plates — a camera with a plate clicks in and out in a second, with no screwing on the cup. Switching from landscape to portrait is just a matter of loosening the head and turning.

A small camera on the bonnet or behind glass

The cup-plus-ball-head combination suits small cameras, mirrorless bodies with a light lens or accessories on a Manfrotto plate. It sticks to a bonnet, a roof or a side window, and the cup monitors its own vacuum, so a shot from a moving car needs no checking on the way. Quick scene change: click the camera out, move the cup, click it back in.
