Tilta Battery Plate for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K - V Mount

The Tilta ES-T21-BP-V battery plate locks into the battery compartment of the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K/12K and powers the camera through a dummy battery from a large V-Mount battery, so the internal batteries stay in the bag. Its side carries two 14.8 V P-Tap outputs, a two-pin LEMO 14.8 V and USB-C for accessories, and a 15 V DC input (5.5/2.5 mm) for an external supply or hot-swapping. With the Tilta top plate it is secured by a thumbscrew. Aluminium alloy, black.

The Tilta Battery Plate for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K — V-Mount is a battery plate designed specifically for the PYXIS body. It clicks into the battery compartment in place of the original battery and adds a V-Mount for batteries with many times the capacity, which also feed a monitor, video transmitter and wireless microphone. The same plate is also available in a Gold Mount version.

The plate slides into the Blackmagic PYXIS battery compartment and locks; it powers the camera through a dummy battery, so no cable to the body is needed. If the Tilta top plate is on the camera (sold separately), the battery plate is additionally tightened with a thumbscrew and gains a second fixed point — the rig then holds even with a heavy battery. The plate also fits the body without a cage.

V-Mount for a long day

The V-Mount takes any V-Mount battery and multiplies the shooting time compared with the PYXIS internal batteries. One thing to note: V-Mount batteries providing less than 14.8 V will not power the camera and will need swapping more often than usual. The plate is aluminium alloy and matches the Tilta cage and the camera body in black.

Accessory outputs and DC input

The side of the plate carries two 14.8 V P-Tap outputs, a two-pin LEMO 14.8 V and USB-C, so the camera, monitor, video transmitter and wireless microphone all run from one battery. The 15 V DC input with a 5.5/2.5 mm connector lets an external supply feed the plate — handy for lightweight builds without a battery and for hot-swapping the battery without the camera switching off. The power cable for the input is not included.

Tilta power: V-Mount and Gold Mount

Tilta battery plates have one job: to bring power from a large V-Mount or Gold Mount battery to the camera and its accessories so that battery swaps are kept to a minimum. Every plate comes in both versions — V-Mount and Gold Mount (Anton Bauer) — and distributes power through P-Tap, USB-C and two-pin LEMO outputs, for which Tilta offers power cables for specific cameras, monitors and video transmitters. Plates for a specific body mount in the battery chamber or on the cage, universal plates on 15 mm rods. This part is one of them.
