Tilta P-Tap to 5.5/2.5mm DC Male Cable

The Tilta TCB-DTP-525-17 is a P-Tap → DC 5.5/2.5 mm power cable. It plugs into the P-Tap output of a battery plate — designed for the Tilta Universal Battery Plate, though it fits any P-Tap port — and powers accessories with a 5.5/2.5 mm DC barrel input from the battery that runs the camera. Length 101.6 cm; the DC plug is right-angled.

The Tilta TCB-DTP-525-17 is the longer of the two P-Tap → DC cables: a metre of cable reaches from the battery plate on the back of the cage to a monitor on an arm, a transmitter on the tripod or a light beside the camera. The accessory runs from the rig's main battery and needs no pack of its own.

P-Tap on one end, DC 5.5/2.5 mm on the other

The P-Tap (D-Tap) plug goes into the output of a Tilta battery plate or into a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery with a P-Tap port. The other end is a right-angled 5.5/2.5 mm DC plug for the barrel socket of monitors, video transmitters, lights and other accessories with this input. The cable passes the battery voltage through unchanged, so it belongs on devices that accept that voltage. The version with the thinner 2.1 mm pin is the sibling TCB-DTP-521-17.

A metre of cable for accessories away from the cage

The 101.6 cm length is meant for accessories that do not sit on the cage itself: a monitor on an arm, a transmitter on the tripod head or a light on its own bracket. The conductors are copper, the jacket rubber and the connectors aluminium alloy and ABS plastic. The right-angled plug keeps the cable close to the device body so it does not stick out or catch a hand.

The Tilta TCB cable range links camera, battery and accessories on the rig: power from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate over P-Tap, 2-pin Lemo, 3-pin Fischer or a DC barrel connector, USB-C PD for monitors and handles, 7-pin control cables for the Nucleus system and HDMI or BNC for the picture. Lengths follow the rig — short on the cage, longer out to arms and batteries; this cable is one of them.
