RGBlink mini-mx-4S

The RGBlink mini-mx-4S is a compact 10-channel HDMI/SDI production switcher in a durable case, ideal for live streaming, events, and broadcast workflows. Featuring 4K HDMI and SDI inputs, PTZ camera control, onboard recording, USB-C streaming, a 14″ HD monitor, and a 5.5″ touchscreen, it delivers a portable, all-in-one solution for professional multi-camera productions.

The mini-mx-4S is the mini-mx SDI switcher built into a rugged case with a 14″ monitor, cooling and connectors routed to the side. Open the lid, plug in the cables and the broadcast can start – whether it is an open-air concert, a garden wedding, a sports match or a corporate event.

A complete control room in a carry case

A rugged case of high-strength PP houses the mini-mx SDI switcher, a 14″ IPS monitor with 1920 × 1080 resolution and 220 cd/m² brightness in the lid, and a hydraulic rod that holds the lid open. Powerful air cooling is designed for outdoor use; power comes from 100–240 V mains via an IP65 connector. The case measures 360 × 308 × 177 mm.

Connectors on the side of the case

The switcher inputs and outputs are routed to a panel of rugged aviation connectors – four SDI, four HDMI, network, HDMI program output, recording, webcam output and audio inputs and output. Cables plug into the case without touching the switcher itself.

Layers, graphics and scoreboard

Build a scene from two video layers, a background image and graphics from the media library – logos, titles or pictures. Dynamic text overlays and a scoreboard show names, scores or time right in the broadcast, and picture-in-picture or split screen are set up without a computer.

One-touch chroma key

Key out a presenter in front of a green or blue background right on the switcher and place them in a virtual studio or in front of graphics. Keying settings are saved in the preset scenes together with the other parameters.

16 scenes and 15 transitions

Up to 16 preset scenes store the layer layout, sources, keying and PTZ camera presets; recall them with the panel buttons or let them rotate automatically. Switch between preview and program with a cut, the T-bar or automatically with one of 15 transition effects. VFA (video follows audio) switches the picture according to the active audio input.

PTZ camera control from the panel

The joystick and zoom toggle control PTZ cameras via VISCA or NDI – pan, tilt, zoom and focus, including movement speed. A camera preset also remembers the input, so recalling it switches straight to that camera. An NDI camera connects with a single Ethernet cable for both picture and control.

Streaming, NDI and recording at once

Over Ethernet the mini-mx SDI streams via RTMP(S) to at least four platforms at once while sending NDI at the same time. With RGBlink TAO Cloud you stream to up to 32 platforms and manage the switcher remotely. Meanwhile the program is recorded as MP4 to a USB drive or SSD of up to 2 TB.

Below, four SDI cameras and four 4K cameras via HDMI; above, microphones on MIC 1 and MIC 2, a phone on the line input and speakers on the audio output. The webcam output goes to a laptop, recording to an SSD and the program output to a monitor.
