The Neumann KM 183 is a high-quality omnidirectional condenser microphone that forms part of Neumann's renowned 180 Series. Developed as a successor to the legendary KM 83, the KM 183 combines the proven acoustic performance of Neumann’s classic small-diaphragm microphones with modern transformerless electronics for outstanding audio quality and reliability.

Based on the design of the industry-standard KM 184, the KM 183 utilizes a pressure transducer design with an omnidirectional polar pattern, making it exceptionally well suited for capturing natural room ambience and acoustic instruments.
