The Neumann KM 183 Stereo Set combines two high-performance KM 183 omnidirectional condenser microphones in a professional stereo recording package. As part of Neumann's acclaimed Series 180, the KM 183 builds on the worldwide success of the KM 184 and provides the same outstanding engineering quality in an omnidirectional configuration optimized for natural and spacious sound capture.

Designed as a pressure transducer, the KM 183 exhibits a 7 dB presence rise at 10 kHz when measured in a free field, while maintaining a remarkably flat frequency response in diffuse-field environments. This unique characteristic results in highly accurate ambient reproduction, making the microphone particularly suitable for stereo recording techniques that require realistic room capture and extended low-frequency performance.

The slim and unobtrusive design allows easy positioning in virtually any recording scenario, from classical music and choir recordings to broadcast and television production.
