SmartScope Duo 4K is a dual preview monitor for mounting in equipment racks. SDI monitoring wherever you need it

SmartView monitors mount in racks, broadcast trucks and flight cases, switch the input format automatically and can all be set up from one computer via Ethernet.

Two independent displays

Each 8″ screen has its own SDI input with loop output and displays a different source.

Waveform, vectorscope and audio

On each display you can independently select the picture or one of the scopes: luminance waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, YUV parade, histogram and audio phase and level display for 16 channels of SDI embedded audio. Both displays can be combined to suit the task at hand.

6G-SDI for SD, HD and Ultra HD

The SDI inputs of SmartScope Duo 4K switch automatically between SD, HD and 6G-SDI and handle Ultra HD up to 2160p30. Each display has its own input with loop output, and audio is processed at a 48 kHz sample rate.

Integrated tally

SmartScope Duo 4K has integrated tally compatible with many switchers and automation systems. Tally is connected via the 9-pin D connector on the rear, so the monitor fits into live production too.

Setup from a single computer

Software for Mac and Windows connected via Ethernet sets up all monitors from one place and also switches the scope modes. Color matching multiple monitors takes only a moment.

Connections and controls

On the rear, each of the two monitors has its own SDI input and output. In the middle are the tally connector, Ethernet with loop through, USB 2.0 and the 12 V DC power input.

Stay in control

SmartScope Duo 4K offers two large 8″ LCD screens in a very compact design – the unit is only about 3 cm deep. It features powerful electronics and displays both video preview and scopes for SD, HD and Ultra HD signals. You can choose between scope modes including waveform, vectorscope, RGB or YUV parade, histogram and an audio meter with 16 channels of SDI audio and signal phase. SmartScope Duo 4K looks the same as SmartView Duo but also offers scopes. It suits equipment panels for local monitoring in post production studios as well as monitor walls in control rooms, and supports remote control via Ethernet.

Easy to control

One of the main problems when installing a larger number of monitors is color matching them. SmartScope Duo 4K solves this with an Ethernet network interface and software for Windows and macOS that controls all monitors from one place. The control software also lets you switch between all measurement modes.

Tally support

SmartScope Duo 4K is also designed for live broadcasts and fully supports tally signaling. Integrated tally is connected via the parallel port on the rear and is compatible with switchers and other automation systems.
