The Manfrotto XPRO MHXPRO-BHQ2 ball head combines a lightweight 0.5 kg magnesium and aluminum body with a safe load capacity of 15 kg according to UNI/PdR 105:2021. The triple wedge lock prevents unwanted drop in the field of view, the friction control makes it easier to balance heavier setups, and two spirit levels help with precise framing. It includes a 200PL-14 quick-release plate; the head features a separate 360° panoramic lock and is suitable for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
Inside the head, three wedges clamp down on the ball and, once tightened, hold the selected composition in place. The clamping force can be adjusted in advance to match the weight of the camera and lens via separate friction control. Polymer rings allow for smooth, lubricant-free movement, ensuring clean and predictable operation.

Two integrated spirit levels are visible when adjusting the head, and a separate panorama lock allows you to rotate the camera 360° without releasing the ball. The Manfrotto 200PL-14 plate with a 1/4″ screw is included; the 3/8″ bottom thread allows for mounting on standard photo tripods.
The MHXPRO-BHQ2 model uses the Manfrotto RC2 system with the 200PL-14 plate. The related MHXPRO-BHQ6 model is designed for use with the Top Lock system.
