Three legs, one adjustment
Lift at least two of the three D levers together to release all automatic leg sections; use C for one leg. Release the controls at the required height. Telescopic struts let you set and secure each leg angle independently.
The extra lower T sections of this non-USA 058B extend manually using the E locking rings.
Precise height by crank
Loosen O, turn the L crank to move column N, then retighten O before shooting. The safety ratchet prevents accidental descent; it does not replace the final column lock.

Built for studio positioning
Made in Italy, the 058B combines anodised aluminium legs with steel lower extensions. Its mid-level spreader adds torsional rigidity and limits unwanted leg spreading. Rubber feet have retractable metal spikes for outdoor use; the bubble level helps alignment. The supplied 102 strap supports carrying this 6.7 kg tripod.
The upper 3/8″ screw accepts a separately selected head. For low-angle work, the lower 3/8″ Q mounting may be used only with column N fully lowered and locked with O. The setup’s capacity is limited by its weakest component: tripod, head or accessory.
Karl Taylor Visual Education’s 2011 video demonstrates the 058B release and geared column at 02:10–04:29, then moves to a different Neotec tripod. The demonstrated head is not included; historical figures and informal maintenance advice do not replace current specifications or the manufacturer’s manual.
