Manfrotto Low angle adapter for new 190 series

Manfrotto 190XLAA is a 36 g low-angle adapter for compatible Manfrotto 190X tripods. Placed on the tripod’s top casting, it works with the four leg-angle positions to bring a compatible camera setup close to the ground for low viewpoints, product photography and close-up compositions. Its 3/8″ screw provides the head attachment. Manfrotto lists MT190X3 and the MK190X3-BH, MK190X3-3W and MK190X3-2W kits; do not assume compatibility with every 190-series model. Work close to the ground

Combine the low-angle adapter with the four leg-angle positions of a compatible 190X tripod. The compact 36 g accessory mounts on the top casting and provides a 3/8″ screw for a matching head.

A lower viewpoint

Moving the camera closer to ground level changes the perspective for close-ups, small subjects and product compositions. The adapter uses the compatible tripod’s low-angle arrangement rather than adding height with the normal long centre column; choose the head and camera position to suit the shot.

Low-angle setup

1. Press button Q and pull attachment plate F out of the centre column.
2. Unlock locking lever E.
3. Remove centre column D.
4. Push plate F into the top casting until it clicks (CLICK), aligning button S with part V.
5. Tighten lever E to lock plate F before mounting the head.

Keep the plate locked

Lever E must remain firmly locked whenever the plate carries the head and camera, preventing the assembly from falling out. Before disassembly, first remove the head, then loosen E and remove plate F. Never use plate F in the bottom storage position shown in figure 1.

Check the exact 190X model

Only compatible 190 models without a 90° centre-column system are suitable. Manfrotto explicitly lists MT190X3 and the MK190X3-BH, MK190X3-3W and MK190X3-2W kits. The family name alone is not a compatibility guarantee: check the tripod’s exact model and top-casting arrangement. The adapter is supplied on its own, without a tripod, head or camera.
