Manfrotto Repro Arm with Double Camera Attachment

The Manfrotto 131D is a chrome-finished, 60 cm cross arm for positioning two camera heads at either end of a tripod-mounted support. It is useful for reproduction photography, macro work and multi-angle setups. The central mount has a female 3/8″ thread for a compatible tripod column with a 60 mm disc. The bar slides horizontally and rotates about its own axis, then locks with the central handle. The arm weighs 1.2 kg; heads, cameras and the supporting tripod are selected separately.

Position two camera heads at the ends of a 60 cm cross arm. Slide and rotate the bar to set up reproduction or macro work.

Work above the subject

The manufacturer shows the chrome 131D supporting an overhead camera for a flat-lay shoot. This illustrates how the arm can place the camera away from the tripod column. The pictured camera, head, MOVE system, lighting and tripod are optional equipment, not included.

Fit the locking handle

The arm is supplied with handle A removed. Take out transport tab B and fit the handle as shown in figure 1. The ratchet handle can later be pulled outward and repositioned without releasing the lock.

Slide and rotate the bar

Place central support D over the compatible tripod’s mounting screw and tighten wheel C. Loosen handle A to slide bar P horizontally or rotate it about its axis; retighten A after positioning.

Secure each camera head

Remove cap G from each end plate F and screw the compatible head onto male 3/8″ attachment H. Tighten the three grub screws L with a small screwdriver to secure the head, without overtightening.

Adapt the camera interface

One end plate carries a removable Manfrotto 088LBP adapter. Unscrewing it exposes a male 1/4″ attachment for equipment with a matching female thread. To remove a fitted head, first loosen all three securing grub screws before unscrewing it.

Choose the supporting tripod

Use a compatible tripod rated for a maximum load greater than 6 kg and fitted with a 60 mm disc. This requirement concerns the supporting tripod, not a rated payload for the arm. Check the complete assembly’s weight, balance and component limits. Camera heads, cameras and tripod are not included.
