Thypoch Simera-C 35mm T1.5 Full-Frame Cine Lens – Sony E

The Thypoch Simera-C 35mm T1.5 for Sony E is a compact full-frame manual cine lens for natural perspective, dialogue, environmental coverage and detail work. It covers a 43.2mm image circle, measures 69.6mm and weighs approximately 402g, making it useful on handheld rigs, gimbals and in confined spaces.

Its 9-element, 5-group optical design, 16-blade T1.5–T16 iris and 0.45m minimum focus support smooth transitions into defocus. Focus rotation is 210°, both rings use 0.8 MOD gears, and the lens carries metric and imperial scales. The native Sony E version is fully manual, with no electronic contacts, autofocus or data transmission.

Aperture and image character

Nine elements in five groups, a 16-blade iris and T1.5 support smooth defocus transitions. Simera-C uses aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements for high resolution and chromatic-aberration control.

Manual control for cine rigs

Focus has a 210° throw and a 0.45 m minimum distance from the sensor plane. 0.8 MOD gears on both focus and iris rings work with standard follow-focus systems; dual scales speed up work for mixed crews.
