The Thypoch Simera-C 28mm T1.5 is a compact manual full-frame cine lens with a Leica M mount for wide shots, car interiors, handheld work and gimbals. It covers a 43.2mm image circle, weighs 377g and focuses from 0.4m, making it practical in tight spaces and with moving camera rigs.
Its T1.5 aperture, 16-blade iris and 11-element, 7-group optical design support clean rendering, smooth defocus and low-light work. A 210° focus throw and 0.8 MOD gearing suit cine follow-focus systems, while suitable adapters extend the Leica M mount to E, RF, Z, L and X systems.

Full-frame cine prime
A wide focal length for environmental shots, on-screen movement, and working in confined spaces. The M-mount version covers a 43.2 mm image circle, focuses from 0.4 m, and weighs approximately 377 g.
This specific 28mm lens features 11 elements in 7 groups, a 16-blade aperture, and a 210° manual focus ring. The standard 0.8 MOD gear ratio supports follow-focus, and the M-mount can be used on other systems with appropriate adapters.

The T1.5 aperture supports low-light work, while the 16-blade iris produces smooth defocus transitions. This official manufacturer sample illustrates the rendering character of the Simera-C range; it is not a photograph of a specific colour variant.
Simera-C lenses make it easy to capture challenging angles or work in extremely confined spaces, such as low-angle shots, over-the-shoulder shots, or tight spaces inside a car. This kit not only expands the possibilities for cinematic expression but also significantly increases agility, maneuverability, and creative potential during filming.
To achieve an even rounder bokeh, these lenses feature 16 aperture blades instead of the 14 found in the Simer photography version. The bokeh transitions and character provide better subject separation and a more pronounced three-dimensional effect.
The Leica M mount offers versatility comparable to the PL mount: using standard M-mount adapters, Simera-C lenses can be used with various mirrorless cameras (E, RF, Z, L, X mounts) across different systems. With the lockable M-ARRI adapter, they are also compatible with ARRI ALEXA Mini LF, ALEXA Mini, AMIRA, and other ARRI systems. This exceptional compatibility allows for easy use with both entry-level mirrorless cameras and high-end film setups such as the DJI Ronin 4D, Sony Venice, ARRI, and others.
Simera-C lenses utilize aspherical elements, ED glass, and high-refractive-index elements, and share the same optical design as Simera photographic lenses. As a result, they deliver exceptionally high resolution and excellent chromatic aberration correction, making them ideal for 8K video production. In addition, multiple high-refractive-index coatings minimize flare and ghosting. Even in strong backlighting, Simera-C lenses deliver high contrast and an overall crisp image.
The focus scales are marked in both imperial and metric units. All lenses have identical positions for the focus and aperture rings.
