Thypoch Simera-C 75mm T1.5 – Full-Frame Cine Lens (Leica M)

The Thypoch Simera-C 75 mm T1.5 for Leica M is a compact full-frame cine lens for portraits, details and telephoto framing. Its fully mechanical construction combines a 16-blade T1.5–T16 iris, 210° focus throw, 0.8 MOD gears and dual metric/imperial scales. With M-mount adapters it can also be used on E, RF, Z, L and X systems; the lens itself has no electronic contacts or autofocus.

A longer focal length for intimate portraits and selective framing in a compact body. The M-mount version weighs approximately 435 g and its 43.2 mm image circle covers full-frame sensors.

Nine elements in eight groups, a 16-blade iris and T1.5 support a smooth transition into defocus. The manufacturer describes a neutral image, natural edge fall-off and effective chromatic-aberration control, keeping skin tones and contrast legible in challenging light.

Manual cine control

Focus has a 210° throw and the lens focuses to 0.55 m from the sensor plane. 0.8 MOD gears on both focus and iris rings work with standard follow-focus systems. Dual metric and imperial scales serve different crews; the lens is entirely manual, without data transmission.

Lightweight M-mount system

The short M-mount flange distance keeps the body compact: 76.6 mm long, 72 mm front diameter and M67 × 0.75 filter thread. With a suitable M adapter, it can be mounted on E, RF, Z, L or X systems; ARRI requires a dedicated positive-lock solution.
