Simera 35mm f/1.4 Type II

This fast full-frame manual lens for Leica M combines a versatile 35mm perspective with precise mechanical control, a floating optical group and the ergonomic Type II crescent focus tab, here in silver.

One-finger focusing

The Type II crescent tab provides a comfortable grip and smooth focus-ring travel. It is part of the internally calibrated mechanism and is not intended for user replacement. A tactile resistance point at 0.7 m warns the photographer to switch from the rangefinder to live view or an EVF when focusing closer, down to 0.45 m.

f/1.4 and a 14-blade iris

The fast aperture supports low-light work and strong subject separation. Fourteen iris blades render smooth, rounded bokeh; this official manufacturer sample demonstrates the 35mm image character in an urban scene rather than the lens-body colour.

Sharp from 0.45 m to infinity

Nine elements in five groups include three high-refractive-index elements, one aspherical element and a floating group.
