Panasonic has introduced its new range of studio cameras at IBC 2015, including the 4K studio camera AK-UC3000, the Full HD model AK-HC5000 capable of high-speed output up to 1080/240p, and AK-UCU5000 Camera Control Unit for up to 2000m fonre optics connection between the CCU and the cameras. The lineup also features AK-HRP1000 and AK-HRP1005 Remote Operation Panels for IP control of studio and PTZ cameras from Panasonic.

Sony also unveiled at this year's IBC its device for receiving streaming video directly from Sony's XDCAM series cameras. The 1U 19" rack server PWS-100RX1, which is capable of receiving signals from multiple cameras at the same time, serves this purpose.

It can stream video in 720p or 1080i resolutions over 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi networks. The device uses Sony's QoS system ensuring recovery of up to 30% of lost data. Sony also guarantees 100% reliability in audio streaming. This means that even if there's a picture failure, you'll definitely hear the audio from Sony cameras. The PWS-100RX1 is equipped with two SDI outputs and provides the ability to record a stream in MP4 or MXF format for archiving or editing purposes.

Another IBC news from Sony's booth is the SxS PRO+ memory card with a capacity of 256GB.

This media allows extremely fast data transfer. It is ideal for post-production studios, broadcasters and professional video processors who need high-speed data import and export. Transfer speeds of up to 440MB/s contribute significantly to reducing data transfer times. Such a fast tranfer of captured material with a large volume of data is ideal when working with video material in 4K resolution.
