Sound Devices MixPre-3 II, MixPre-6 II, and MixPre-10 II are successors of the award-winning MixPre Series. All models of the MixPre II Series function as recorders, mixers, and USB interfaces, and are suited for a wide range of applications, with features for podcasters, musicians, indie filmmakers, journalists, field recordists, and production sound mixers alike. The first generation MixPre-10T won the prestigious Cinema Audio Society (CAS) Award for Outstanding Product in Production.

This update adds the ability to quickly create close up edits using facial recognition to automatically reframe and zoom in on faces. DaVinci Resolve Studio 16.1 Public Beta 2 also adds support for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera presets in the Fusion 3D camera and camera tracker tools, adds tooltips with track names on the mini track view, improves metadata accuracy when restoring or importing projects, provides more responsive scrubbing for long clips on the cut page and improves playback performance on the media, cut and edit pages.

Panasonic is proud to announce the launch of the LUMIX S1H, a new Digital Single Lens Mirrorless camera equipped with a full-frame image sensor, combining professional-level video quality with the high mobility of a mirrorless camera. The LUMIX S1H is the world’s first camera capable of video recording at 6K/24p *1 (3:2 aspect ratio), 5.9K/30p (16:9 aspect ratio) and 10-bit 60p 4K/C4K *2 *3 an achievement previously revealed during development.

In addition to its long history developing cinematic cameras aligned with the film industry’s needs, Panasonic also launched and continues to improve the world’s first compact, lightweight, Digital Single Lens Mirrorless camera. Combining these innovative ideas resulted in the industry-leading LUMIX GH Series which proved that a digital still camera can record video in unprecedented high quality suitable filmmaking. Further integrating the potential of the full-frame sensor, Panasonic is proud to introduce the LUMIX S1H as the ultimate digital mirrorless camera packing its best possible performance.

A newly developed 24.2-megapixel full-frame image sensor complies with the new Dual Native ISO. In combination with the optimum signal processing by Venus Engine, it achieves high sensitivity while minimizing noise. The LUMIX S1H provides more than 14 stops of dynamic range, comparable to those found in cinema cameras, and V-Log / V-Gamut compatible with popular colorimetry called “VariCam Look.”  Uniquely, the LUMIX S1H features unlimited recording time in all recording modes thanks to Panasonic’s unique heat dispersion technologies. HDR (High Dynamic Range) in HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output and Anamorphic 4:3 modes are also available with a variety of practical tools for filmmaking, such as tally lights, a waveform monitor and a V-Log View Assist function.

Attending of IBC in Amsterdam will receive an exclusive sneak peek at Boris FX’s upcoming 2020 releases of award-winning VFX plug-ins Sapphire, Continuum, and Mocha Pro. The 2020 versions will be available later this year with support for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, Avid, and OFX hosts including Autodesk, Blackmagic Design, Foundry, and VEGAS Pro. The 2020 releases add OpenColorIO (OCIO) support for Sapphire and Mocha Pro with Continuum to follow suit. The long-requested feature gives customers the ability to maintain a proper color pipeline when using Boris FX plug-ins, eliminating common third party plug-in color issues.

Sapphire 2020’s high-end suite of VFX plug-ins adds eagerly-anticipated OCIO support to the full lineup of over 270 effects; parameter-driven tracking powered by Mocha on many effects including its renowned lens flares; a trendy lens whacking effect (S_FreeLens) that mimics shooting through a detached camera lens in order to produce gorgeous lens flares, light leaks, and tilt-shift focus effects; a seamless zoom transition that warps through one image into another (S_WhipPush); and professionally-designed presets (S_LensFlare).

Continuum 2020’s comprehensive toolset adds four effects and over twelve transitions featuring 50 professionally-designed presets. New effects include projecting the appearance of an image reflecting on a highly-polished surface (BCC_ReflectImage); throwing a shadow behind or in front of an object (BCC_CastShadow); simplified screen/billboard/device insert workflows powered by Mocha (BCC_CornerPin); warping a source into a curly-cue (BCC_Curl). Continuum also adds the ability to distort/undistort footage for paint or other touch-up effects (BCC_PowerPin) and new on-screen controls for BCC_Remover and BCC_Vignette effects.

Particle Illusion, previously only available as part of Continuum 2019 and the Particles Unit, is now offered as a standalone application. The addition of a standalone version makes Particle Illusion the most versatile real-time particle generator on the market.
