Viltrox follows up the popular 85mm f1.8 for Fuji X mount and Sony E mount lenses with the new 85mm f1.8 for Nikon Z mount. This new autofocus lens is constructed of 10 elements in 7 groups including a low-dispersion element. The lens features a silent STM autofocus motor, and is compatible with Nikon Eye-AF. Also included are: USB port for firmware updates; aperture range of f/1.8-16, nine-blade aperture, 80cm minimum focusing distance, and a thread for 72mm filters. Weight is 540g.

This software update includes minor improvements for URSA Mini Pro 12K including better time remaining readout and adjustments to the focus assist feature.

To protect the new Sony FX6 against the elements, camRade created the camRade wetSuit ILME-FX6. A small size wetSuit with a clear vinyl window for visibility when adjusting the menu, audio input select level and other controls. ETA beginning of February.

Due to limited availability of a button part, Blackmagic Design hasn’t been able to build as many Speed Editors as customers have ordered. They are building more each week, and are trying to catch up as quickly as they can. Blackmagic Design apologizes for the delay.

Datavideo announce the latest version of their best selling workstation, the HS-1600T Mark II. This Mark II version features a couple upgrades to the regular version that makes this unit even more versatile and ready for the challenging 2021 year.

The HDMI input now features a loop out. So once you connect a PC or gaming console you can have a larger display on your desk for easier monitoring that input. This is especially handy when working with titles or anything else that you need absolute focus on.

Connecting to a display or projector with HDBaseT is now easier than ever. The built-in HDBaseT output grants you the option of connecting any endpoint with a maximum cable length of 60m and resolutions up to 1080p60.

On the streaming side there is a dual streaming added so you can now reach 2 of your favourite streaming platforms directly from the unit if you have the bandwidth. Datavideo still recommends using their streaming service dvCloud to stream to multiple destinations at the same time because you can then use SRT to the cloud and ensure picture perfect low latency streaming even if your bandwidth is limited.
