ZEISS has launched the newPanoptes 65 line of film lenses, whichbringsZEISS’s rich history of optical expertise to the world of the 65mm format. ThePanoptes 65 seriesincludes ten focal lengths:25 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 55 mm, 70 mm, 90 mm, 110 mm, 135 mm,and 180 mm, with all lenses featuring a uniformT2.2 maximum aperture.

The lenses are designed for a wide range of film productions and offer the distinctive characteristics that cinematographers have long trusted and come to expect from ZEISS—combined with a carefully balanced image character tailored for the 65mm format: natural color reproduction, pleasing rendering of skin tones, a gentle transition to out-of-focus areas, and silky-smooth bokeh.
