Vespid Prime · Full-Frame Cine
Natural Perspective with Canon EF Mount
The Vespid Prime 50 mm T2.1 combines a versatile perspective with a T2.1 aperture and a compact body for handheld, gimbal, and cine rig use. The EF mount is part of the Vespid series’ interchangeable lens system.

50 mm: Versatile Shot
The natural perspective of a 50 mm lens is ideal for dialogue, close-ups, and observational shots. The standard 0.8 MOD ring pitch makes it easy to integrate the lens into a follow-focus setup.
Smooth Focus Transition
The 16-blade aperture and APO optical design help create natural bokeh, reduce chromatic aberration, and maintain neutral color reproduction. Fully manual operation allows for repeatable adjustments to both exposure and focus.
Precise and Repeatable Focusing
The 270° focus ring offers ample travel for smooth transitions. The design minimizes focus breathing and does not change the lens length during focusing, which helps keep the setup balanced.
Compact all-metal construction
The aluminum body weighs approximately 732 g, and the 46.5 mm image circle covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. The lens is designed for fully manual film work without electronic communication or optical stabilization.
Mechanics for a Consistent Cine Setup
The Vespid Prime covers a 46.5 mm image circle for full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. Its compact dimensions make it ideal for handheld shooting, gimbal use, and drone mounting.
The design minimizes focus breathing; neither the front element rotates nor does the lens length change during focusing. The lens has a front diameter of 80 mm, an M77 thread, a 16-blade aperture, 0.8 MOD focus ring, and a 270° focus travel. The EF mount is interchangeable with an optional PL adapter, and a rear magnetic filter is an optional accessory.
